(Hughes 2003) extended this concept to irregular wave runup, providing improved estimation
techniques for runup on smooth, impermeable slopes. In all runup cases, structure slope was found to
have less influence than previously thought for the range of slopes in the data set.
EXAMPLE CALCULATIONS: The following examples illustrate calculation of the wave
momentum flux parameter for regular and solitary waves.
